After color shape size comes scale and proportion. Many new spaces are at odds with the traditional photographic formats. Maine Coast Images combines great imagery with the flexibility to proportionally fit modern spaces. The environment, whether it's a single wall or a room, is considered part of the presentation. Just the frame and mat enhances the image, the architecture is enhanced by scaling and cropping the image.
Framed and Matted Artwork Frames and images are custom-tailored to one particular location. Print sizes range from three by four feet with panoramic images available up to 4 by 12 feet. For single images, a simple "proof" is created that matches wall color and size.In all cases, wall color, mat color and frame styles can be changed. Panoramas Maine Coast panoramas are available in image sizes from 6x40 to 12x60. Views vary from 180° to 360°. Panoramas are mounted and matted in a selection of metal frames and glazed with acrylic for safety and lighter weight. Photo Murals Photo murals are available in standard sizes from 4x6 feet up to 9x12 feet. Custom sizes can also be ordered based upon square footage. A two-foot square at the final size is provided prior to ordering. Installation, including all materials for priming and hanging, are billed as expenses above the cost of the mural. A variety of surfaces and coatings are available and murals can be mounted indoors or outside.
Ancillary Services To remove all guesswork from large image purchases Maine Coast Images will provide electronic proofing. A simple electronic rendition of the image, matted and framed, including the wall color is produced as a starting point for size and color. Check the samples listed below. All examples are kept simple to hasten download times.

For more elaborate installations, 3D model of the images and their environment is built that is correctly proportioned. This model is created in SketchUp Pro and can be save into any common 3D format for import into CAD software. The model can be a simple line sketch or mapped photographs. Electronic images can be re-arranged and resized quickly. This provides the perfect layout for the space with few surprises. Scale markers and measurement scales can be added for precise accuracy The final product can be posted on the Web on a private location for viewing or emailed to selected recipients. 3D model can converted to Adobe Acrobat 3D so that it can be viewed and manipulated through the commonly available Acrobat Reader
For larger projects involving large installations and multiple surfaces. the 3D view is ideal for spatial and relational viewing. The 3D files can be saved in a number of formats for importing into other presentations if needed.
